Brief
A noise complaint was raised by a local resident with NPGrid (Northern Power Grid) and after a full investigation this complaint was upheld and NPGrid were obliged to rectify the issue raised.
Assessment
dBA was called in and carried out a full Noise Survey. Advice was that an enclosure was required to apply insulation for the absorption of sound, as well as an additional 4-hour fire rating.
Solution
The result was immediate with a huge reduction in noise, in excess of 30dB. The client, NPGrid were hugely impressed with the services provided. An enclosure was installed with a 4-hour fire rating, also significantly increasing protection. The Site team worked extremely hard during an additional power outage, all this on the run up to Christmas and in some incredibly challenging weather conditions.
